Kaliber 31 Blackpowder, Nr. 55859, nummerngleich (auch auf der Ladepresse). Achteckiger 4"-Lauf, gezogen, narbig. Fünfschüssig. Single Action. Baujahr 1853. Messingkorn, V-Kimme im Hammer. Am Lauf zweizeilig Firmierung "ADDRESS SAML COLT / NEW-YORK CITY", am Rahmen links "COLTS PATENT", am Abzugsbügel links vorne "A". Durchweg bräunlich patiniert. Schlagspuren zu beiden Seiten des Laufkeils. Auf der Trommel etwas verputzte Rollengravur der Postraubszene, gemarkt "COLTS PATENT / No." und Seriennummer. Abzugsbügel und Griff Messing, mit Resten der Versilberung. Nussholzgriffschalen sehr gut erhalten, mit wenigen Dellen und Kratzern. Mechanisch in Ordnung. Länge ca. 24,5 cm.
In schönem, originalen Holzkasten, ausgeschlagen mit rotem Samt (etwas abgenutzt), mit vakanter Deckelplatte aus Messing. Die originale Kugelzange für Spitz- und Rundgeschosse, gemarkt "COLT'S / PATENT", originale Pulverflasche aus Kupferblech, einige Dutzend Rundkugeln, eine Dose Zündkäppchen von U.M.C. aus dem 19. Jahrhundert Mit Schlüssel. Abmessungen 27 x 15,5 x 5,5 cm.
