Exemplaire reliépour le baron de Longepierre. Dramaturge et poète après avoir donné nombre de traductions d’auteurs grecs, Hilaire Bernard de Requeleyne, baron de Longepierre (1659-1731) possédait également une vaste bibliothèque. Ses livres étaient élégamment reliés, de divers cuirs mais avec un décor uniforme, toujours frappé du fer à la Toison d’or, conformément à l’emblématique du baron. À la mort de ce dernier, sa bibliothèque passe ensuite au cardinal Louis-Antoine de Noailles, archevêque de Paris, puis à son neveu le maréchal Maurice de Noailles. Les biens des Noailles seront dispersés à la Révolution.
4 vol. in-8 (192 x 124 mm). Bandeaux, lettrines, culs-de-lampe. Plusieurs tableaux généalogiques dépliants. Marque de l’imprimeur aux titres. 6 portraits gravés par Audran. Les portraits représentent l’auteur, Charles le Hardi, duc de Bourgogne, sa fille Marie de Bourgogne, l’empereur Maximilien d’Autriche, Louis XI et Charles VIII (rousseurs et piqûres éparses, plus ou moins prononcées selon les cahiers, reports des gravures, restauration en marge inférieure de la page de titre du t.I). Reliure de l’époque en veau blond glacé et moucheté, emblème de la Toison d’or au centre des plats et répété aux quatre angles, triple filet doré en encadrement, dos à nerfs et caissons ornés de cette même Toison d’or, pièces de titre et tomaisons en maroquin ébène, gardes de papier marbré, tranches dorées sur marbrure (dos très légèrement et uniformément passés, quelques griffures aux plats, usures aux charnières). First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
