Unter der Baumgruppe im Vordergrund ein Bauer mit Kind im Gespräch mit einer rastenden Bäuerin. Im Mittelgrund rechts ein Bauernhaus. Rücks. Reste zweier Wachssiegel. Öl auf Lwd. 97 x 85 cm. Doubliert. Rest. Rahmen besch. (110 x 98 cm).
Laut Gutachten Walter Bernts trug das Gemälde zum Zeitpunkt der Ausfertigung des Gutachtens "rechts unten auf dem Baumstamm das Monogramm 163...". Bernt bestätigte das Gemälde als Gemeinschaftsarbeit Deckers und Ostades.
In seinem Gutachten nennt Bernt eine Ausstellung des Gemäldes in der "British Institution" 1836. Dies ist nicht zutreffend. Vielmehr war ein Gemälde "Landscape with Figures" von Decker / Ostade dort im Jahre 1838 ausgestellt (vgl. Ausst.-Kat. "British Institution for Promoting the Fine Arts in the United Kingdom", London 1838, S. 11, Kat.-Nr. 84). Dieses Gemälde, das nicht eindeutig als das vorliegende Werk zu ideintifizieren ist, war damals Bestandteil der bekannten Sammlung des Charles Heusch in London. Heusch verkaufte seine Sammlung 1856 en bloc an Baron Lionel de Rothschild, London.
Bernts Feststellung, dass sich das Gemälde "durch Etienne Le Roy" (Galerist) um 1860 im Königlichen Museum, Brüssel befunden habe, lässt sich nicht verifizeren.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
