Diese nicht signierte Replikation eines antiken römischen Cornu, auch Buccina oder Bucina genannt, wurde wohl im späten 19. bis frühen 20. Jh. gefertigt. Das Instrument ist verwandt mit dem Naturhorn und fand in der römischen Armee Verwendung. Ursprünglich als langes Bronzerohr gebaut, entwickelte es sich zu einem Instrument, welches der Spieler ("Buccinator" oder "Bucinator" genannt) um den Körper geschlungen trägt.

This unsigned replica of an ancient Roman cornu, also called buccina or bucina, was probably made in the late 19th to early 20th century. The instrument is related to the natural horn and was used in the Roman army. Originally built as a long bronze tube, it developed into a instrument which the player (called "Buccinator" or "Bucinator") wears wrapped around the body.
