Large format Russian copper engraving by the Klauber workshop to St. Petersburg in 1814, after the drawing by Giuseppe Pietro Bagetti (1764-1831)

Shown is an Outdoor constructed Altar, surrounded by Russian priests, which at the 10. April of 1814, held on the occasion of the Orthodox Easter (according to the Julian calendar) a solemn thanksgiving service in the presence of the winner. On the left of the Emperor Alexander I. is riding, followed by the various European rulers and generals, to the Altar. In the bottom left of the Text in Russian, the right in French is given. The Augsburg copper engraver, Ignaz Sebastian Klauber (1735-1817), a member of the famous Augsburg copper engraving workshops of the family Klauber, received the honorable reputation to St. Petersburg. Here he taught at the Academy of fine arts chalke catheterization (=copper tech art) and established a branch of Klauber's pharmacy in the town of residence of the tsars. It is large-format depictions were created of historical events. Condition: The passe-partout to the rear side and glued, foxing, slightly browned, minor cracks on the rear glued cracks on the bottom.
