A good 16th-century edition; a reprint of 1512 Stagnino edition with the same woodblocks, which were based on the 1491 Venetian edition of Benalius and Capcasa. 4to (215 x 155mm). Woodcut portrait of Dante on title, full-page woodcut illustration at the beginning of the first Cantica, numerous smaller woodcuts for each canto, initials, printer's device at end (some occasional light staining, spotting, browning and few small holes). Binding (rebacked and restored) preserving part of the contemporary calf boards decorated in blind (modern guards), modern case.
