"Those Endless Summer Days (...) Rembered (Popeye + Wimpy)". Original title
Trained at London's prestigious Slade School and was a student of Frank Auerbach, was Spiller of Picasso, Dubuffet and the Pop Art influenced. Cartoon characters combined Spiller in a playful-cheerful way, with text quotes, borrowed from his favorite songs by the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Pogues, and others. According to his own statement, love is at the heart of the testimony of Spillers, a hodgepodge of influences from American Pop Art, youth comics, TV Cartoons and the history of art Works are a cornucopia acquired and remembered images. Acrylic & mixed technique/canvas, Verso signed and dated 1996, show titled side and on the verso; Original label of the Gallery Cotthem, Knokke/Belgium, information on the painting & artist, and the designation "exhibition Art Frankfurt in 1997". 183 cm x 213 cm.
