ATTRIBUTED TO DAVID TENIERS THE YOUNGER 1610 Antwerp - 1690 Brussels CHIMNEY SWEEP Oil on oak panel. 15,5 cm x 13,5 cm (F. 19 cm x 17 cm). Heavily soiled surface, edges min. dam. Frame. To the composition of a chimney sweep offered here exists a composition drawing by David Tenier of almost the same size, which the RKD in the Hague has under the RKD in The Hague under the number 1001455386 and which is echoed in his painting 'Village in the snow'. A mirror-inverted composition, which does not correspond to the preliminary study, was auctioned by Sotheby's London on 30.10.2008 under lot. No. 248. Nr. 248. Provenance: Rhenish private collection.

Rahmen. Zu der hier angebotenen Komposition eines Schornsteinfegers existiert eine nahezu größengleiche Kompositionszeichnung David Teniers, welche das RKD in den Haag unter der Abbildungsnummer 1001455386 aufführt und die kompositorisch gleichsam in seinem Gemälde 'Village in the snow' Widerhall findet. Eine spiegelverkehrte, der Vorstudie nicht entsprechende Komposition, versteigerte Sotheby's London am, 30.10.2008, unter der Lot. Nr. 248. Provenienz: Rheinische Privatsammlung.

Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
