Gold, 750 gepunzt, an Tragespange, im roten Verleihungsetui mit goldener Deckelprägung, ausgeschlagen mit grauem Samt, die Urkundenmappe mit aufwendig geprägtem Deckel, Innenseite mit Blindprägung, die Urkundenseite graphisch gestaltet und lautet auf "Dr. Georg Bilkenroth für die Herstellung von Metallurgischem Koks aus Braunkohle als Angehörigem des Kollektivs "Braunkohlenkoks" gemeinsam mit Prof. Dr. Rammler, den Deutschen Nationalpreis 1951 1. Klasse für Wissenschaft und Technik", Lacksiegel, ausgestellt Berlin, den 7. Oktober 1951, OU Wilhelm Pieck, dazu Trägerausweis in rotem Kunstleder mit Foto, ausgestellt den 12.12.1951, Ausweis Nr. I/62/51, anbei die Einladung zur Verleihung sowie Zeitungsausschnitte sowie ein Hefter mit Gratulationsschreiben anlässlich der Verleihung des Nationalpreises, darunter Lauchhammer, Bergakademie Freiberg, GST etc. sowie viele weitere Einzelpersonen.
Dr. Bilkenroth erhielt als Kollektiv zusammen mit Prof. Dr. Rammler den Nationalpreis 1. Klasse im Jahre 1951 für die Herstellung von Metallurgischem Koks aus Braunkohle. Äußerst bedeutende und historisch relevante Auszeichnung. Das Gegenstück - der Nationalpreis von Prof. Dr. Rammler - befindet sich im Bestand der TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
