Zweites Modell mit vernickelter, beidseitig doppelt gekehlter Rückenklinge, an der Wurzel die Herstellermarke "P. O. & Co." (Pack, Ohliger & Co., Solingen), Messing-Bügelgefäß, Fischhauthilze (berieben, Risse) mit schauseitig aufgelegter Chiffre "WR II" und Drahtwicklung, auf dem Stichblatt der Reichsadler. Stahlscheide (schwarz nachlackiert) mit einem beweglichen Tragering. Partiell leicht beschädigt, Altersspuren. Länge 97,5 cm. Das Gewinde der Angel wurde neu beschliffen, der Degen ist nachträglich bearbeitet und aus Originalteilen zusammengestellt.

Ca. 30 Schwarzweißfotos (Maße meist 16 x 12 cm und 17 x 23 cm), in Fotoecken (wenige fehlen) eingesteckt, oft rs. und unter dem Bild beschriftet. Dabei Station Moschi, Askaris, Daressalam, Abel als Adjutant des Gouverneurs, Herzog Adolf Friedrich zu Mecklenburg, deutsche Offiziere auf Zebras reitend, Abschied etc. Dazu in Kopie ein CDV-Foto von Abel in Uniform und eine detaillierte Darstellung seiner Laufbahn. In späterem Album (Maße 22 x 30 x 5 cm). Partiell leicht beschädigt, Altersspuren.
Johannes Abel (geboren 1871) trat als Leutnant am 30.11.1898 in die Schutztruppe ein, wurde am 15.12.1900 zum Oberleutnant und am 27.1.1908 zum Hauptmann befördert. Am 22.4.1912 wurde er nach Kamerun versetzt. Er war Chef des Militärbezirks Moschi und Adjutant des Gouverneurs.
