Kräftige, spitz zulaufende Klinge mit rhombischem Querschnitt. Die kräftige Fehlschärfe einseitig mit Schmiedemarke (Buchstabe T, darüber ein Ring). Typisches eisernes Spangengefäß mit S-förmig geschwungenem Faustbügel. Spiralig gekehlte Hilze mit Eisendrahtwicklung (Fehlstelle) und Türkenbünden. Einseitig gelochter Fischschwanzknauf. Oberflächen gereinigt, teils Reste von Narben. Länge 111 cm.
Eine Gruppe Degen mit identischer Form und Klingenmarke befindet sich noch heute in der Rüstkammer des Schlosses Ambras bei Innsbruck. Es wird angenommen, dass sie um 1580 für die Bewaffnung der dortigen Schlossgarde Erzherzog Ferdinands II. angeschafft wurden.

Sturdy, tapering blade of flattened diamond section. A small smith's mark stamped on one side of the sturdy ricasso (the letter T below a ring). Typical iron swept hilt with S-shaped curved knuckle bow. The grip spirally fluted with iron wire winding (one flaw) and Turk's heads. The fishtail pommel perforated on one side. The surfaces cleaned, traces of pitting in places. Length 111 cm.
A collection of rapiers of identical shape stamped with the same blade-mark can still be found in the armoury of Ambras Castle near Innsbruck. It is believed that they were commissioned around 1580 for the armament of the castle guards of Archduke Ferdinand II.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
