Gold 585/-, getestet. Wiener Kontrollamtszeichen von 1867-1872. Juwelierpunze CB. 26 kleine Diamanten im Rosenschliff. 1 kleiner Smaragd. Die Gesichter sind aus geschnittener Jade. Hellgrünes, rotes und weißes Email. Der Smaragd ist minimal bestoßen. Armspange: Innendurchmesser ca. 15,5 cm. Brosche: D. ca. 2,5 x 2,3 cm. Ca. 24,5 g. Dabei: Etuis H.N. v. Santen, Frankfurt. Die Demi Parure ist bei Brigitte Marquardt, Schmuck Realismus und Historismus (1850-1895), Berlin 1998 auf S. 181, Kat.-Nr. 83 abgebildet. Ägyptisierende Motivik erlebte mit dem Bau des Suez-Kanals (1859-1869) einen Höhepunkt in der europäischen Kunst im dritten Viertel des 19. Jahrhunderts und spiegelt sich auch bei unseren beiden Stücken wider. Der über die Punze zu identifizierende Meister Carl Bacher war als Sohn Joseph Bachers schon früh mit dem Goldschmiedehandwerk vertraut worden. Selbständig war er dann von 1887-1905 in Wien tätig und stellte regelmäßig im Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe aus. SvP
