Auf flachem, blüten- und blattbelegtem Sockel vollplastische, szenische Darstellung eines knienden Kavaliers in gelber Kniebundhose und seegrüner Jacke mit weißem Kragen, die neben ihm sitzende junge Schäferin in weißem, goldgeblümtem Gewand umwerbend, während sich diese abwendet. Auf seinem Rücken der kleine Amor, in der erhobenen rechten Hand einen Bogen als Knüppel haltend. Mit der Linken an den Haaren des Kavaliers ziehend. Rückseitig stehender Harlekin in farbenfrohem, rautengemustertem Kostüm mit Hut, sich mit einer Spottgeste über die Szenerie belustigend. Polychrome Malerei mit Goldstaffage. Entw. Johann Joachim Kaendler. Modell-Nr. 464. Unw. rest.; Schwertermarke. H. 17 cm.
Kaendler's Entwurf orientierte sich an einem Kupferstich von William Hogarth aus der Serie "Before and after" von 1736.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
