(1886 Dorohai/Romania - 1947 Paris)Large figure of a water carrier, bronze, in various shades of brown patina, and finely chased. Fully plastic, early, probably around 1920, created a Statuette by the sculptor with the representation of a North African, barefoot girl in traditional costume with Oriental belt, which bears in her left Hand a large, heavy tulle pot. In the subtle portrayal of the girl, and the fine carving artistically outstanding figure of the famous Romanian-French sculptor, who went in 1909, first to Italy and in 1912, in the art metropolis of Paris. There he became from 1920 to the style-defining masters of the Art Deco period, in particular due to its Chryselphantin-figures with the dancers. H. 65,3 cm. A large brown patinated bronze figure of a female water carrier. Signed.
