Öl auf Holz. Felsige Landschaft in Abenddämmerung. Vor hoch aufragender Befestigungsanlage am Ufer des Gewässers baden einige nackte Frauen (Diana und Kallisto?). Restauriert. Unsigniert. In Leistenrahmen aus Holz. Maße 72 x 60, gerahmt 84 x 73 cm.
Dirck van der Lisse (1607 - 1669) war ein in Den Haag geborener Künstler des niederländischen Goldenen Zeitalters und Schüler des berühmten Malers van Poelenburgh. In seinen frühen Schaffensjahren spezialisierte sich van der Lisse auf von Nymphen belebte Landschaften im italienischen Stil.

Oil on wood. A rocky landscape at twilight. Several naked women (Diana and Callisto?) are bathing on the banks of the river, a towering fortress in the background. Restored. Unsigned. In a moulded wooden frame. Dimensions 72 x 60, framed 84 x 73 cm.
Born in The Hague, Dirck van der Lisse (1607 - 1669) was an artist during the Golden Age in the Netherlands and protégé of the famous van Poelenburgh. During the early years of his career, van der Lisse specialised in Italian-style landscapes peopled with nymphs.
