Das Gemälde ist nicht im Werkverzeichnis von Fritz Löffler aufgeführt. Es wird in den ersten Band des in Vorbereitung befindlichen neuen Oeuvrekatalogs aufgenommen. Zu dem Werk liegt ein Gutachten von Prof. Dr. Rainer Beck, Coswig, vom 26. Februar 2014 vor.
Als Otto Dix dieses Bild malt, studiert er an der Königlichen Sächsischen Kunstgewerbeschule in Dresden. Zu dieser Zeit sucht der Künstler nach eigenen Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten, wobei er Inspirationen von den italienischen Meistern des 15. und 16. Jahrhunderts sowie von den Impressionisten und den Wegbereitern des Expressionismus erhält. Insbesondere Vincent van Gogh beeindruckt ihn sehr, von dem er 1912 Arbeiten in einer Ausstellung der Galerie Arnold sieht. Unter dem Einfluss des neu Entdeckten schafft Dix in diesem Jahr unter anderem eine Reihe von Boots- und Flussbildern an der Elbe (siehe WVZ. Löffler, WVZ.-Nrn. 1912.9, 1912.11 und 1912.12). Zu ihnen gehört auch unser Gemälde, dessen Kompositionsweise, Farbpalette und Duktus charakteristisch für die frühe Schaffensphase des Malers sind

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
