A reprint of the first edition published in 1570 with Menechini's Oratione of this vernacular epic poem that combines elements of the classic works of Homer and Virgil.

2 parts in one volume, 4to (220 x 161mm). Title of both parts with woodcut coat of arms, portrait of the author within a large full-page architectural border, numerous woodcut illustrations within the border, woodcut headpices and initials (some dampstaining and foxing). Later vellum, modern manuscript title on the spine, elegant box in modern paper (modern endpapers); preserved in a modern marbled paper box.
