Feuervergoldeter Messinggriff mit reliefiertem Eichenlaubdekor auf dem Rücken, Schraubknauf in Form einer durchbrochenen Kaiserkrone, separate Parierstange des Offiziersdolches, das vs. Klappstichblatt mit unklarem Anker, das rs. arretierbare Klappscharnier mit Namensgravur "W. Burmeister" und unterseitiger Punzierung "18". Schwarze Lederscheide mit feuervergoldeten, üppig dekorierten Beschlägen und Tragehaken, Länge ca. 41 cm.
In dieser prunkvollen Ausführung und diesem Zustand selten zu bekommen.
A dagger/sidearm in deluxe version for applicants of the Imperial Navy
Nickel-plated wedge blade (small stains) with crowned anchor amidst floral/maritime décor etched on both sides. Fire-gilt brass grip with oakleaves in relief on the back, screw pommel in the shape of an openwork imperial crown, separate quillons of an officer’s dagger, the obverse folding guard plate with indistinct anchor, the lockable folding hinge on the reverse engraved with name "W. Burmeister" and punched "18" on the bottom. Black leather scabbard with fire-gilt, lavishly decorated fittings and suspension hook, length approx. 41 cm.
Rarely available in this deluxe version and state of preservation.
