First edition of this work containing about 500 illustrations by Gustave Doré, among the first composed by the famous illustrator and one of the more ironics; it is a sarcastic and highly sought-after leaflet directed against Russia during the Crimean War.

Folio (291 x 198mm). Numerous illustrations (some foxing and light dampstaining). Red morocco on marbled paper plates with gilt spine, original wrappers preserved.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
