Lot 2029Three-Epitaph-boards for Lee Baek-hyong
Korea. Gwangju Stoves, Kyonggi Province. Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). Dated 1831.

Porcelain, under glaze cobalt painted blue. On the back is unglazed and kiln sand buildup. In the case of the rectangular plates are the No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4 from a larger context. Each is described with ten vertical columns on the top and a column on the right-hand edge of the page. Here also, the respective number is listed.

Such panels serve to remind the merits and ancestors of the deceased. They were here to honor Lee Baek values written-Hyong of his great-grandson. 21,7x16,9cm. Condition b is restored to A plate.
