Trompe-l’oeil-Gemälde mit Kupferstich eines Dornenziehers an einer Holzwand
Motiv und Stil spiegeln den prägenden Einfluss von Edwaert Collier wider, der außer Vanitas-Stillleben auch eine Reihe vergleichbarer Trompe-l’oeil-Gemälde mit effektvoll an Holzwänden komponierten Stichen schuf. Collier wurde 1664 in die Haarlemer Gilde aufgenommen, seit 1667 war er in Leiden tätig, 1686 zog er nach Amsterdam und 1693 nach London. Öl/Lwd.; Ger. Läsur, am Unterrand montierte Sammlungs-Nr.; 65,5 cm x 56,5 cm.
Provenienz: aus der Sammlung von Maria Antonia Pessina de Branconi (1746 - 1793), der Mätresse des Herzogs Karl Wilhelm Ferdinand von Braunschweig (1735 - 1806), seit 1781 im Schloss Langenstein bei Halberstadt; danach in der Sammlung von August Wilhelm Rimpau (1814 - 1892), Schloss Langenstein bei Halberstadt, 1893 inventarisiert durch den mit ihm verwandten Kunsthistoriker Wilhelm von Bode (1845 - 1929); bis 1945 in Besitz der Familie auf Schloss Langenstein; später in diversen Museumssammlungen der ehemaligen DDR, u. a. in Berlin, Dessau, Halberstadt, Halle, Mosigkau, Wernigerode und Zeitz; nach 1990 restituiert.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
