Eight-piece translucent alabaster screen. CHINA Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The wooden panels are divided into four sections. The panel surrounds each frame four alabaster panels painted on both sides. On the front, deities and Chinese emblems from the group of the "Hundred Antiquities" are depicted. On the side facing away from the visitor, symbols from the landscape and the garden are grouped together to form lucky riddles. Strong signs of age and use, the translucent alabaster fields are partly broken and heavily damaged, the paintings are partly heavily worn. The hinges are not original.
