A LACQUER PORTABLE SHRINE (ZUSHI) WITH FIGURE OF AMIDA NYORAI Japan, 19th/20th century Lacquerware/metal. H. ca. 27 cm. The black lacquer shrine with two hinged doors mounted with copper kanagu, revealing the standing figure of Amida Buddha supported on a lotus flower rising from an elaborate waisted plinth. The interior is painted gold. Partially damaged and scratched, with traces of use.

In dem schwarz lackierten Schrein mit zwei Fluegeltueren, die mit Kanagu aus Kupfer befestigt sind, befindet sich eine stehende Figur des Amida-Buddha, gestuetzt auf eine Lotusblume, die sich von einem taillierten Sockel erhebt. Der Innenraum ist gold lackiert. Part. besch. u. verkratzt, mit Gebrauchsspuren.
