Große, fünffach beweglich geschobene, sechsfach geriffelte Schultern. An den Oberseiten beidseitig hohe Brechränder, die Rückseiten durchbrochen gearbeitet, umlaufend Futterlochungen. Offene Oberarmröhren, große Meuseln mit dreifacher Riefelung und fein gebördelten und geschnürlten Brechrändern. Geschlossene, im Scharnier zu öffnende Unteramröhren. Eine Innenseite verloren, das erhaltene Teil mit rautenförmigen Durchbrüchen gearbeitet. Einzelne Teile leicht deformiert, Belederung und Nieten teils defekt. Oberflächen mit dunkler Alterspatina und Ölanhaftungen, reinigungsbedürftig. Länge je ca. 70 cm.

A pair of German arm defences from a suit of armour, assembled from 16th century components
Large pauldrons of five articulated lames with six fullers. High flanges along the top on both sides, the rear panels in openwork. A row of lining holes around the edge. Open rerebraces, large couters with triple fluting, edged with finely turned and roped flanges. The closed vambraces opening on a hinge. One interior has been lost, the surviving piece decorated with lozenge-shaped perforations. Individual pieces are slightly deformed, the leather lining and rivets damaged in places. The surfaces with a dark age patina and filmed with oil, in need of cleaning. Length of each circa 70 cm.
Provenance: Formerly in the Collection from the Royal House of Hanover at Schloss Marienburg.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
