A THANGKA DEPICTING PADMASAMBHAVA China (Tibet), 19th/20th century Distemper on cloth. 37x33.5 cm. Padmasambhava wears a red lotus crown with a solemn face. He sits on the lotus protruding from the lake, with a red cassock on his upper body. His left hand is in dhyana mudra holding a treasure vase, while his right hand raised holding a vajra. Above Padmasambhava sit Amitayus and Vajrapani in the left and right corner, below him are Yeshe Tsogyal and Mandarava. With traces of use and wrinkles.

Er sitzt auf dem Lotus, der aus dem See ragt, mit einer roten Soutane auf dem Oberkoerper. Seine linke Hand ist in dhyana mudra und haelt eine Schatzvase, waehrend seine rechte Hand einen Vajra haelt. UEber Padmasambhava sitzen Amitayus und Vajrapani in der linken und rechten Ecke, unter ihm Yeshe Tsogyal und Mandarava. Mit Gebrauchsspuren und Falten.
