Hervorragend erhaltene bronzene Gürtelschnalle mit ungewöhnlicher Dekoration. Zentral das Haupt einer bedeutenden Person, beidseitig gerahmt von zwei Fabelwesen. Umlaufend ein florales Band. Rückseitig fünf Befestigungsösen. Intakt. Länge 12,5 cm. In Schaukasten (Maße 22 x 14 cm) montiert.

Provenienz: Aus dem Nachlass eines südwestdeutschen Sammlers.

An impressive Visigothic belt buckle, 7th century
Excellently preserved bronze belt buckle with unusual decoration. Central the head of an important person, framed on both sides by two mythical creatures. A floral ribbon runs around it. Five fastening eyelets on the back. Intact. Length 12.5 cm. Mounted in a showcase (dimensions 22 x 14 cm).

Provenance: From the estate of a collector in Southwest Germany.
