In Höhe der Hüfte gebrochenes Fragment mit Teilen der Oberschenkel einer ehemals leicht unterlebensgroßen Statue eines Jünglings oder Heros. Die Hüfte ist leicht angewinkelt. Die Oberschenkel weisen die in der griechischen Klassik durch Polyklet entwickelte Formensprache mit Spiel- und Standbein auf. Feiner Inselmarmor mit nahezu samtener Oberfläche. Gesockelt. Höhe 30 cm (mit Sockel 43 cm). Sehr dekorativ.

An impressive marble fragment of a Greek statue, 2nd - 1st century B.C.
The fragment of a statue of a youth or hero, broken at the hip with parts of the thighs, slightly smaller than life size. The hip is bent at a slight angle. The thighs are placed in the contrapposto pose, the weight on one leg, developed in the Classical Greek style by Polykleitos. Fine island marble with an almost velvety surface. On a pedestal. Height 30 cm (including pedestal 43 cm). Highly decorative.
