A WOOD CARVED SEATED STATUE OF SHAKYAMUNI Thailand, probably 19th century Wood. H. 36 cm. Shakyamuni sits on a raised plinth, with his left hand in dhyana mudra and his right hand in bhumisparsha mudra. The plinth is painted red, the Buddha originally gilded. Partially damaged, with traces of age.
