Notes by Prof. Salviati: This disc, carved from a fine quality of green jade with greyish stripe-like inclusions and brown markings on the smoothed edge, has a glossy finish as seen on similar discs found in Longshan culture sites in Shaanxi province or at Taosi (c.2300-1900 BC) in Xiangfen county, Shanxi province. It can be compared to a similar jade sold at Zacke Galerie in December 2016, JAK1216-015: http://www.zacke.at/de/sammlung/19975/auktion-jadekunst-aus-china-3-12-2016-um-1400-uhr/eintrag/19990/bi-disc
