A BRONZE SEATED STAUE OF SHAKYAMUNI IN MANDALAY-STYLE Burma, 19th century Bronze. H. 33.5 cm. Shakyamuni sits in vajrasana on a pedestal, his right hand in bhumisparsha mudra, his left resting on his lap, wearing a monastic robe. There are red decorative stones on the Buddha's forehead, a Burmese inscription is engraved on the front of the seat. With traces of use and small bumps, partially stained, some of the decorative stones missing, a hole is on the front of the seat.

Auf der Stirn des Buddhas befinden sich rote Schmucksteine, auf der Vorderseite des Sitzes ist eine burmesische Inschrift eingraviert. Part. best., mit Gebrauchsspuren, einige Schmucksteine verloren, auf der Vorderseite des Sockels ist ein Loch.
