Engraved and fire-gilt frame of non-ferrous metal with delicate openwork, tendril décor and stylised eagles. On the top the mirrored cypher "E" underneath a crown. In the centre two oval medallions (height of each 7.5 cm) with old photographs of King Friedrich Wilhelm IV and his wife Elisabeth Ludovica. On the reverse a richly decorated, hinged stand with delicate openwork. Traces of wear and age. Dimensions of frame 32 x 29.5 cm. Very rare, early presentation frame.
Princess Elisabeth Ludovika of Bavaria (1801 – 1873) married the later King Friedrich Wilhelm IV of Prussia on 29 November 1823. Theirs was a happy marriage, and Elisabeth cared for Friedrich Wilhelm during the last phase of his life until 1861.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
