Kupfer mit dunkler Alterspatina. Flache Kreuzarme mit geschweiften Enden. Schauseitig emaillierter Dekor in blau und weiß. Vernieteter halbplastischer Korpus im Viernageltypus, Darstellung Christi mit Krone. Die Rückseite mit feiner ornamentaler Gravur, im Zentrum die Darstellung eines Evangelisten mit Buch. Am unteren Ende konisch zulaufender Befestigungsdorn. Auf modernen Acrylglasständer montiert. Höhe des Kreuzes 17,5 cm, Gesamthöhe 27,5 cm.

A processional cross with champlevé decoration, Limoges, 13th century
Copper with a dark age patina. The flat cross arms with curving ends. The front with blue and white enamelled décor. The riveted, four-nail type body in half relief, a depiction of Christ with a crown. Fine ornamental engraving on the back, the centre with a depiction of an Evangelist with a book. A conical tapering fastening spindle at the lower end. Mounted on a modern acrylic glass stand. Height of the crucifix 17.5 cm, overall height 27.5 cm.
