In 1898, etching and aquatint, 21 x 28 cm, bottom right stamp, unframed. - Czech-German painter, graphic artist and craftsman. O. studied 1889-93 in Munich, first at the Knirr school, and afterwards at the Academy in the case of Wide Linden Schmit, and J. length Raab. He settled in Vienna, where he was a member of the secession. In 1905, he was a Professor in Berlin. Two East Asia-travel shaped his Repertoire significantly and made him a significant representative of the enthusiasm for Japanese and Chinese art influenced art Nouveau. Museum: Berlin (Nat.-Gal.), Vienna (Albertina), Prague, among others, literature: Thieme-Becker, Vollmer, Bénézit, etc
