Großer, repräsentativer Schreibtisch mit feuervergoldeten Bronzebeschlägen des Wiener Empires. Das architektonisch strukturierte Schreibmöbel wird durch dunkel abgesetzte Pfeilervorlagen vor hellem Riegelahorn in regelmäßigen Abständen gegliedert. Die Galerie zeigt Balustraden und Blütenintarsien und ist durch vorspringende Risalite gedrittelt. Darin befinden sich jeweils flache Schübe. Die Schreiboberfläche ist mit goldgeprägtem schwarzen Leder bezogen. Der Schub unterhalb der Schreibfläche nimmt die gesamte Breite des Schreibtisches ein und ist mit weiteren Blüten und Palmetten intarsiert. Darunter befinden sich auf jeder Seite vier weitere große Schubladen. Der Schreibtisch ist zudem auch auf Rundumansicht konzipiert. Zwei Schlüssel vorhanden. Gebrauchsspuren. Maße 134 x 154 x 104 x 79 cm.
An Austrian Empire bureau, Vienna, early 19th century
The large, distinguished Viennese Empire desk adorned with fire-gilt bronze fittings. The architecturally structured bureau is composed of dark pilasters arranged at regular intervals against pale-coloured flamed maple as a contrast. The gallery features balustrades and floral inlays, and is divided into three parts by projecting sections, each of which houses shallow drawers. The writing surface is covered in black, gold-embossed leather. The drawer below the writing surface extends over the entire width of the bureau and is embellished with further floral and palmette inlays. Four additional large drawers on each side of the lower section. Moreover, the bureau is designed to be viewed from all sides. Two keys are included. Traces of use. Dimensions 134 x 154 x 104 x 79 cm.
