Lot 4589 | Erich Mercker, "Nordischer Fischerhafen"
an einem bewölkten Tag lagern zahlreiche Segel- und Ruderboote im Hafen, ein Dampfschiff läuft eben ein, stark pastose impressionistische Marinemalerei, die Spiegelungen und Wasserbewegungen zum Teil in Ritztechnik ausgeführt, Öl auf Leinwand, 1. Hälfte 20. Jh., rechts unten signiert "E Mercker" mit Wohnortsannotation "M[ün]ch[e]n.", rückseitig auf dem Keilrahmen wohl von Künstlerhand betitelt "Nordischer Fischerhafen" sowie bezeichnet "Mercker München Mainzerstr. 7c/III.", dazu Atelierstempel "Erich Mercker Kunstmaler", in den pastosen Malschichten zum Teil Frühschwund und Craquelure, geringe Farbverluste in den Segeln im linken Bildbereich und etwas reinigungsbedürftig, in prächtiger handversilberter Leiste der Zeit, diese mit partiellen Bestoßungen, Falzmaße ca. 66 x 85 cm.

Landschafts-, Städte- und Industriemaler sowie Eisschnellläufer (1891 Saverne [dt.: Zabern] im Niederelsass bis 1973 München), 1906 Übersiedlung nach München, ab 1911 Studium zum Bauingenieur an der Technischen Hochschule München und der Technischen Hochschule Berlin, 1912 Deutscher Meister im Eisschnelllauf, ab 1915 autodidaktische Hinwendung zur Malerei, unternahm Studienreisen nach Österreich, Südfrankreich, Schweden, Italien und Norwegen, ab 1921 Mitglied der Münchner Künstlergenossenschaft und 1964–65 deren 1. Präsident, Mitglied im Reichsverband Bildender Künstler Deutschlands, 1926 Beitritt zu den Münchner Künstlervereinigungen "Isar" und "Ring", 1937 Ehrung mit der Großen Goldmedaille der Weltausstellung Paris, beschickte 1937–44 die "Große Deutsche Kunstausstellung" im Haus der Deutschen Kunst München, 1944 in München ausgebombt und 1944–54 im Allgäu tätig, nach 1945 tätig für Konzerne wie MAN, Volkswagen oder Bayer, ab 1954 wieder in München, Quelle: Vollmer, Dressler, Bruckmann "Münchner Maler des 19./20. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
