Blick auf das Nilufer mit Segelbooten und Fellachen beim Verladen eines störrischen Esels. Eindrucksvolle, sehr charakteristische Orientvedute Körners, bei der die erzählerisch sehr lebendig geschilderte Szene und die landschaftlich atmosphärisch gestimmte, detailgetreue Wiedergabe des Ortes zu einem überzeugenden Bildganzen verschmelzen. Ernst Koerner erfuhr seine künstlerische Ausbildung seit 1861 als Schüler im Atelier von Hermann Eschke in Berlin, später auch bei Carl Steffeck und Gottlieb Biermann. 1873-1905 besuchte Körner mehrfach Ägypten und den Orient, die auf diesen Reisen basierenden Veduten machten ihn schon früh berühmt. Wegen der feinen Wiedergabe von Lichtstimmungen wurde er zu den besten Koloristen der "Berliner Schule" gezählt. Seit 1864 stellte Koerner vielfach aus, erhielt eine Reihe von Medaillen in Berlin, Wien, Melbourne und Philadelphia. 1894 wurde Körner Professor an der Berliner Akademie, 1895-1899 wirkte er als Vorsitzender des Vereins Berliner Künstler. Eine kleinere, auf Holz gemalte Version befand sich im 1927 bei Rudolph Lepke's Kunst-Auctions-Haus in Berlin versteigerten Nachlass Koerners (Kat.-Nr. 201); zudem schuf Koerner 1923 eine annähernd formatgleiche, eigenhändige Replik.

First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
