"Am Rettungshaus in Nidden". Originaltitel
Mit schnellem, furiosem Duktus gemalte, expressionistische Landschaft Mollenhauers. Das 1956 entstandene Gemälde gehörte zu einer Werkreihe der 1950er/60er Jahre mit Nidden-Motiven, eine späte Remineszenz an das von ihm geliebte Fischerdorf in Ostpreußen auf der Kurischen Nehrung. Mollenhauer studierte seit 1913 an der Kunstakademie in Königsberg, nach dem I. Weltkrieg konnte er 1918-1922 sein Studium fortsetzen, seit 1920 als Meisterschüler bei Artur Degner. 1919 lernte er Nidden kennen, heiratete 1920 eine dortige Gastwirtstochter. Zugleich traf er dort auch die "Brücke"-Maler Max Pechstein, zu dem er Freundschaft schloss, und Karl Schmidt-Rottluff. Diese übten ebenso wie Edvard Munch einen prägenden Einfluss auf Mollenhauer aus, der 1924-1945 dauerhaft in Nidden lebte und zu den bedeutendsten Malern der Künstlerkolonie wurde. Im "Dritten Reich" als "entartet" verfemt, erhielt er 1939 Mal- und Ausstellungsverbot. Fast sein gesamtes Werk fiel 1945 sowjetischen Truppen zum Opfer. 1946 wurde Mollenhauer zunächst in Kaarst bei Düsseldorf ansässig, seit 1950 in Düsseldorf, später kam ein zweites Atelier in Keitum auf Sylt hinzu. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
