ERNST SCHUMACHER 1905 Mönchengladbach - 1963 Berlin DIE OBERKASSELER BRÜCKE Öl auf Leinwand. 80 x 85 cm (R. 90 x 95 cm). Signiert unten 'E. Schumacher-Salig'. Das Stadtansicht zeigt die alte, 1945 zerstörte Oberkasseler Brücke und stammt vermutlich aus den 1920er oder frühen 1930er Jahren, zu welcher Zeit der Künstler in Düsseldorf arbeitete und seit 1922 Mitglied der Künstlergruppe 'Das Junge Rheinland' war, an Ausstellungen bei Mutter Ey und in der Kunsthalle Düsseldorf teilnahm und nach der Auflösung der Gruppe im Jahr 1928 Mitglied der 'Rheinischen Sezession' wurde. The city view shows the old Oberkassel Bridge, destroyed in 1945, and probably dates from the 1920s or early 1930s, at which time the artist worked in Düsseldorf and was a member of the artists' group 'Das Junge Rheinland' from 1922, took part in exhibitions at Mother Ey's and the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf and became a member of the 'Rheinische Sezession' after the dissolution of the group in 1928. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
