Blick auf eine holländische Dorfstraße mit Entenschar und einem Bauern zu Pferde im Abendlicht. Stimmungsvolles, von der Schule von Barbizon beeinflusstes Hauptwerk Jettels, das er 1875 auf dem Salon in Paris ausstellte (Kat.-Nr. 1124). Jettel studierte 1860-1869 Landschaftsmalerei an der Wiener Akademie bei Albert Zimmermann. Studienreisen führten ihn nach Holland, Italien, Istrien und Ungarn, abschließend nach Frankreich, wo er von der Malerei von Jules Dupré und Théodore Rousseau geprägt wurde. 1873 oder 1875 ging Jettel nach Paris, wo er auch in der französischen Hauptstadt reüssierte und regelmäßig auf den unterschiedlichen Salons vertreten war. Jettel fand Anschluss an die Schule von Barbizon und französische Künstlerkollegen, 1897 wurde er als besondere Ehrung Ritter der Ehrenlegion. Außer Goldmedaillen in Paris (1889) erhielt er weitere bei den Kunstausstellungen bzw. Weltausstellungen in Antwerpen und Chicago (1893). 1897 kehrte Jettel nach Wien zurück, wo er Gründungsmitglied der Wiener Secession wurde und 1899 auf deren IV. Ausstellung vertreten war. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
