Eugène Ionesco 83 und l. u. num. e.d.a., sowie ein Trockenstempel 'Erker Presse-St. Gallen'. - Französischer Dramatiker, Maler und Zeichner. Nach 1938 lebte der gebürtige Rumäne in Frankreich, wo er heute als einer der berühmtesten Dramatiker und wichtigster Vertreter des 'Absurden Theaters' gilt. 1970 wurde er in die Académie Française gewählt, in der seine Stücke regelmäßig aufgeführt wurden. 1971 stellte er seine Kunst in Stockholm, Biarrritz und Paris aus.
