Schwarzes Glattleder mit weißen Nähten, zwei vernickelte, funktionstüchtige Eisenschlösser (Schlüssel fehlen), unterhalb des rechten Schlosses in Gold geprägte Bezeichnung "Eva Braun Obersalzberg" (durch die Schlossbenutzung partiell berieben). Fünf bzw. vier vernickelte Rundfüße an der liegenden bzw. stehenden Unterseite. Glänzendes, hellbraunes Leinenfutter mit je zwei schwarzen Lederriemen zur Gepäck- bzw. Deckelsicherung. Im Deckel applizierte Innentasche mit vernickeltem Eisenschloss, der Taschendeckel in schwarzem Leder abgesetzt.
Maße ca. 64,5 x 42 x 15 cm. Einliegend zwei Wäschestücke mit vernähtem Monogramm "EB". Insgesamt sehr schöne Erhaltung mit Gebrauchs- und Altersspuren (unterseitig etwas verkratzt), die auf einen pfleglichen Umgang schließen lassen.
Dieser Koffer wurde als einer von insgesamt über 40 Koffern im Mai 1945 durch Frankenfield in Anif bei Salzburg beschlagnahmt und enthielt damals große Mengen privater Gegenstände aus dem Besitz Eva Brauns, ihrer Schwester Gretl und deren Ehemann Hermann Fegelein.
Provenienz: Commanding Intelligence Officer of the District Greater Salzburg L. Frankenfield, der im Mai 1945 in der Nähe von Salzburg mehr als 40 Koffer mit persönlichen Gegenständen von Eva Braun, ihrer Schwester Gretl Braun-Fegelein und Hermann Fegelein beschlagnahmt hatte.

Eva Braun - a black leather suitcase, part of her set at Obersalzberg
Smooth, black leather with white seams, two nickel-plated, fully functional iron locks (the keys are lost), the inscription "Eva Braun Obersalzberg" embossed in gold underneath the right lock (partly rubbed, due to use of the lock). Five and four nickel-plated, round feet on the horizontal and vertical undersides respectively. The glossy, light brown linen lining with two black leather straps on each side to secure the luggage and the lid. An appliquéd inner pocket in the lid with a nickel-plated iron lock, the pocket flap trimmed in black leather. Dimensions approx. 64.5 x 42 x 15 cm. Containing two pieces of lingerie with the monogram "EB" sewn in. Overall in beautiful condition, with signs of use and age (the lower surface somewhat scratched), indicating that it has been handled with care.
This case was one of more than 40 suitcases that were confiscated by Frankenfield in Anif, near Salzburg, in May 1945. At the time, it contained an enormous amount of private items belonging to Eva Braun, her sister Gretl and her brother-in-law, Hermann Fegelein.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
