Extremly rare gold/enamel form watch "The Mauve Tulip", probably Geneva ca. 1810
Ca. 44 × 30mm, with original suspension ca. 73mm long, 18K gold, case in the shape of a tulip, hinged petals, inside the concealed movement, verge escapement, signed Gide Paris, enamel dial, Breguet steel hands, case with partial highly professional restorations in the enamel, movement intact. "The Mauve Tulip" is one of the rarest enamel form watches. Only a few examples are known, including a watch from the Sandberg collection. Another absolutely matching one of these watches was sold in the 96th Dr. Crott auction as lot 53 and sold for ca. 15,000€ (source: https://www.cortrie.de/go/NXX).
