Diamonds: 86 Diamond in old-and rose-cut in total ca. 5,5 ct.
Gemstones: 10 round, faceted sapphires in total ca. 0,6 ct., 2 rubies cabochons Ø ca. 1,7 mm.
Description: According to tradition, the brooch was a personal gift from Julius Wernher to Julie
Wernher, the wife of his stepbrother. The initials 'J.W.' adorn the jewellery box in which
it is kept, underlining the connection to Julius Wernher. He was not only a successful
diamond dealer and art collector, but also cultivated close relations with the English
royal family. Certificate and box enclosed.
Condition: In very good condition for its age, slight traces of wear in the form of minor
scratches. 1 diamond with scuff marks.
