Porte une étiquette du XVIIIÈME siècle du peintre et doreur Chatard portant la
mention «GARDE MEUBLE DU ROI».
Estampille de Jean-Baptiste Boulard, menuisier reçu Maître le 17 avril 1754 dont
les livraisons pour le Garde-Meuble de la Couronne débutèrent en 1777.

Très probablement livré au Garde meuble de la Couronne pour le château de
Fontainebleau.
Un fauteuil en tous points identique au notre a été vendu chez Sotheby’s à Monaco
le 30 novembre 1986, lot 943 (Illustré dans L. Condamy, Jean-Baptiste Boulard,
menuisier du roi, Dijon, 2008, p. 276) portant la marque au pochoir du numéro
603 précédé du monogramme F couronné, pour Fontainebleau qui correspond à
la nouvelle numérotation établie par Thierry de Ville d’Avray, intendant général
des Meubles de la Couronne, et seule utilisée dans l’inventaire de septembre 1787.
(Archives Nationales, O1, 3398, « Inventaire des meubles du château de Fontainebleau
fait au mois de Septembre 1787») attestant de sa localisation au château
de Fontainebleau, ceci nous permet donc de proposer pour notre siège la même
provenance royale avec un certain degré de certitude.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
