A GILT- AND BLACK-LACQUERED WOOD FIGURE OF AMIDA NYORAI - Japan, Edo period - Standing in samabhanga on an elaborate carved lotus base placed on a throne, both hands in the form of a pair of Buddha’s seated on a lotus-base, wearing monastic garment, including an underskirt tied around the waist, a wide-sleeved mantle covering both shoulders and falling down his legs in parallel running pleats, his face displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows running into the nose-bridge, inlaid urna, smiling lips, elongated earlobes, his blue coloured curled hairdo continuing into the ushnisha set to the front with a bead ratna and behind a large mandorla finely carved with scrolling tendrils. - Stuttgart private collection, bought 15.11.1980 from Gallery Franz Becker, Stuttgart Very minor damages due to age, hands lost and replaced with two amida figures

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
