A RARE MOLDED SANCAI POTTERY PILGRIM'S FLASK - China, Tang dynasty - The flattened circular body resting on a spreading pedestal foot and rising to a waisted neck and oblong galleried rim, a pair of loop handles applied to the shoulders, each broad side molded with floral patterns and scrollwork, all under vibrant splashes of green, amber, and cream glazes, the base unglazed to reveal the buff body. - Important South German private collection, bought before 1995 at Christie's London A similarly designed sancai-glazed flask with a punched ground and floriform neck is in the collection of the Kunstmuseum Den Haag, illustrated in Beatrice Jansen, Chinese Ceramiek, The Hague, 1976, pl. 49. Another was excavated at Ganjing, Heyang County, and is now in the Heyang County Museum, shown in Chen Anli, ed., Zhonghua guo bao: Tang sancai juan, Xi'an, 1998, pl. 49. The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
