Lot 86 | Feiner Keschan in Korkwolle "Bahram Schah"
Vor einem idealisierten Landschaftsaussschnitt mit Bergen, Flusslauf und Viehherde wird auf wollweißem Hintergrund eine Szene aus dem Leben Bahram Shahs geschildert. Bahram Shah war Sultan des Reiches der Ghaznawiden und herrschte über einen Zeitraum von 40 Jahren von 1117 bis zu seinem Tod 1157. Im Vordergrund der Szene sind der Sultan und seine Frau zu Pferde dargestellt. In prächtigen königlichen Gewändern und einem Jagdfalken auf dem Arm stellen Sie einen Hirten mit der Frage, wieso er den Hund an den Baum gefesselt habe. Hintergrund ist das Verschwinden einzelner Herdentiere, weil der Hund aus niederen Gründen die Herde vernachlässigte. Die Geschichte wird in den Inschriften in dreifacher Bordürenrahmung wiedergegeben. Aussergewöhnliche Korkwoll-Knüpfarbeit aus den Werkstätten Keschans mit historisch allegorischem Sujet zur Bedeutung von Pflichtbewusstsein und Wachsamkeit. In Poesie und Buchmalerei wurde das Thema wiederholt aufgegriffen. Eine Manuskriptmalerei aus safavidischer Zeit mit eben dieser Episode aus dem Leben des Bahram Shah, hergestellt in Tabriz zwischen 1545-1550, befindet sich im British Museum (Inv. Nr. 1920,1117,0.4). Eine ikonographische Vorbildfunktion der illuminierten Handschriften ist anzunehmen.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
