(1866 Coburg - 1909, Berlin)"Bow lingered". Original titleBronze, dark green and black shades of patina. Signed; mark of the art foundry in Lauchhammer; Expl-no. 2/10. Posthumous Casting, 2. Half of the 20. Century; The larger-than-life Nude of the "arc of linger" is considered to be one of the most important works Lepckes. 1883-1890 he studied at the Berlin Academy, and from 1888 as a master student of Fritz schA pers. In 1891 the Prussian Academy of the arts awarded him with the great state price, which was associated with a scholarship of the year 1892/93 in Rome. Of the 1897 model, the "arc of linger" there are a number of around 1900, early fonts as a free-sculptures in Parks and squares or in public ownership, including in the national gallery in Berlin, Coburg, and Bydgoszcz. After the artist's death his brother sold numerous models Lepckes to the art foundry of Lauchhammer, which helped with the license for reproduction and distribution is crucial for the further recognition of the sculptor.
