Kraftvolle und dynamische Arbeiten, oft in großen Formaten, zeichnet das Oeuvre Rainer Fettings aus. Seine expressiven und farbstarken Gemälde entstanden durch den Einfluss seiner Mitgliedschaft in der provokativen Künstlergruppe "Junge Wilde" in Berlin. Seine breiten Pinselstriche zeugen von einer raschen, gestischen Qualität. Auch im Kontext der turbulenten Nachkriegs-Avantgarde in Deutschland hat Fetting Kritiker mit neoexpressionistischen Gemälden männlicher Akte erzürnt. Für deutsche Künstler war es jahrzehntelang unmöglich, im übertragenen Sinne zu malen, vor allem im Akt, denn der Stil wurde immer noch mit der Naziästhetik identifiziert. Fettings Werk bot eine unverblümte, homophile Nacktheit, die wiederbelebt wurde.
"Mann in Dusche II" von 1981 zeigt eine voyeuristische Szene, bei der ein männlichen Akt, scheinbar unwissend, beim Einschäumen unter der Dusche durch die Badtür beobachtet wird. Das leuchtende hellviolette Licht taucht die Szene in eine Morgenstimmung. Fettings Arbeiten kommen zu einer Zeit, in der der männliche Akt in Mode ist, aber immer noch mit dem Begriff "Queer" eingeklammert wird. Rainer Fetting hat den Weg bereitet und das Tabu gebrochen, die männliche Figur in Deutschland wieder in die Malerei zu integrieren

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
