A Bohemian figure of Saint Prokopius, 18th century
Finely carved, polychrome figure of Saint Prokopius in a monk's gown, his right hand raised in blessing, his attribute, a stag, at his feet. On a part-gilt base decorated with volutes and a putto head on the obverse. On the reverse a suspension eyelet and predominantly untreated surface, the figure bumped and with signs of age. Brass halo enclosed. Height (incl. base) 91 cm.

Farbig gefasste, fein geschnitzte Figur des Heiligen Prokopius in Mönchstracht mit zum Segnungsgestus erhobener rechter Hand, zu seinen Füßen sein Attribut, der Hirsch. Auf teils vergoldetem, volutenverziertem Sockel mit schauseitigem Kopf eines Putto. Rs. Hängeöse und weitgehend unbearbeitete Oberfläche, Figur bestoßen und mit Altersspuren. Nimbus aus Messing liegt bei. Höhe (inkl. Sockel) 91 cm.
